Hello! My kitty is doing wonderfully. He grows soooooo fast and sooooo much! 10 months old yesterday and 15.5 lbs! He gains about a pound a month and its all muscle. Koda is super solid. He is so silly and makes me laugh every day.

He loves chasing lasers and hunting moths that fly in. When people come over he enjoys kissing them and ignoring me.

The other day I took him to Petco and he was perfect. I thought I was walking an expertly trained dog around. I guess public places put him on his best behavior. Normally Koda likes to lay down when I try to walk him but he trotted along next to me and stopped to be petted by everyone.

Beach!!

On Saturday we went to the beach. Hahaha. Koda was good on the leash and loved laying in the wet sand.



He wasn't too big on actually walking. I had to pretend I was leaving so that he'd get up and run after me meowing, which lasted about 5 feet then he'd lay down again and get all wet.


When I was trying to leave he decided he wanted to climb the posts under the boardwalk. He jumped up and tried to hang on, but fell back and then sat there meowing at me.


So we went and sat on the boardwalk for a little bit. Lots of dogs came by trying to sniff him, but he just layed there like it was normal!

The day ended with a shower and I learned the hard way that Koda only likes water when its still, or when its his idea!

Lazy Nights

You'd think a kitty would want to play and leap and run after me being away all day at work...not this one! He just likes to cuddle.


Doesn't he look so big laying on me?! He really isn't though, he's long and lean and very thin. I've only had him 3 days and he already seems to have grown.

One of the coolest things about him is how much he uses his 'hands'. He's always pulling my face in, or grabbing my hand and putting it against his cheek and moving it around for me where he wants to be scratched. Its the sweetest thing. I've never known such a loving creature. This morning he even gave me a back massage!


Oh, and I've named him Koda. Its African for mother's pet.

My Birthday Present

...to myself. This weekend I FINALLY got to bring home my kitty. After weeks of anticipation this little guy is mine! He's an F3 Savannah..meaning he is 3 generations away from this, an African Serval:
Isn't that precious? Of course, being mostly domestic cat, he will not get that big, but at 5 months he is already 10 lbs and 12.5" tall at the shoulder. He's the same size as my sister's Russian Blue who's 3 years old. I can't wait to see how he grows! He's spent his weekend sleeping in the closet, climbing into the fish tank, pulling my face close to wake me up with kisses in the morning, and stalking from the highest part of the house.
